About Athena
Athena was a huge ball of personality in a small body. She made up for her lack of size with enthusiasm for life. She excelled at nearly everything that was asked of her. From service dog task work to performance sports. She was also her owners demo dog where she worked as a dog trainer. Though her life ended in a tragic accident the memories she made in the 10 short months on this earth are enough to last a lifetime. She will always be missed and never forgotten. RIP sweet baby girl.
Words from her owner:
"To my best friend, my baby girl and the dog of my dreams, you are gone WAY TOO soon.... But I promise nothing will ever replace you. You were my complete world and I loved you more than words could ever say. These past months have completely changed me and you had a huge part in that. My heart is broken and I am so lost without you. I don’t want to have to go through this life without you.... but for some reason I have to..... It’s not fair.....
Run free, baby girl! And just keep running and playing disc, because I know that is what you lived to do. Maybe one day, by the grace of God I will be able to hug you, cuddle you and run with you and we can run as fast and as far as we both want! I miss you and love you more than my heart, my mind and my body could ever imagine... "

August 26th, 2019 Today is the utmost tragic of days. Athena has left this world after suffering a fatal accident. We are all crushed by this news and miss her dearly. She was so full of life and had so much life yet to live. She will be missed but never forgotten. . . . :( RIP sweet girl.
August 19th, 2019 Today was both Athena and her owner, Sarah's first time showing in conformation. For a novice team they showed really well their first weekend out. They did not take home the major but they had fun. This same weekend they earned the CGC and Novice Trick Dog titles! Congrats girls!
December 2018 Today Athena (AKA Thea) went to her new home in North Carolina. She will be a much loved companion and service dog. In addition to this important role she will also be shown in conformation and other performance areas like flyball, disc, agilty and more.
